Bite-sized Hypnobirthing & Pregnancy Relaxation

My aim with these sessions is to make Hypnobirthing accessible to you if you don’t have the time or the money for a full Birth Preparation / Hypnobirthing course.

It was great to be able to talk about anything at all with other pregnant ladies without having to feel embarrassed or self-conscious. Also, to have a rare opportunity to take some time out to to do absolutely nothing but relax is a treat!

What can you expect from the classes?

We’ll spend some time talking about a pregnancy or birth related topic, which is the bite-sized Hypnobirthing element.

 

You’ll get lots of evidence based information that will help you plan for a positive birth on your terms, as well as tangible tools and techniques that you can share with your birth partner, use during pregnancy and when you’re in labour. Most sessions will come with PDFs relating to what we’ve covered – things like physiology of birth, the hormones involved, pain relief, & comfort measures, creating the optimal environment for birth, visualisation, the difference between a perfect birth and a positive one and lots more…

 

It’s definitely much better to commit to a full term so that you get all of the info, you’ll build your toolkit for birth and your mind is prepared for whatever kind of birth you have on the day. If you only want to dip in and out or can’t commit to a full term, that’s all good too though – you’re still going to get lots out of the sessions.

 

The second part of the session is all about breathing techniques and a guided relaxation before you float off home to bed…

 

We’re going to practice breathing techniques for pregnancy and birth, because the power of your breathing is not to be underestimated when it comes to relaxation  – you’ll learn three different techniques in total over the course of a term.

 

We’ll finish with a guided relaxation, because let’s face it – life happens! Unless you have a daily meditation practice already or something else you do to switch off and unwind, it’s likely that this relaxation business isn’t going to feel natural straight away. With regular practice though and using the techniques that I teach you, you’ll be kicking back like a pro’ in no time… and I don’t mean scrolling through social media mindlessly or indulging in a box set binge, I mean actual, total switch-off, nurture yourself, give your brain a break relaxation. Sounds good eh?

 

Please note – this session will be on chairs, NOT yoga mats. You’re very welcome to bring a birth ball though if you’d be more comfortable sitting on that.
